Patient Pricing Information
Insurance Policies: Medicare and Medicaid
Here at Thomasville Regional Medical Center, we strive to give our patients the highest quality of care and the best possible healthcare experience. Medical costs can be confusing and very overwhelming. To make this process as transparent as possible TRMC has made all of our current charges available for your benefit.
The charge master list includes only the hospital charges. It does not include any charges billed separately by your physician or other professional fees. The actual amount paid by the patient will depend on the patient’s insurance coverage.
If you have Medicare:
v Not everyone has the same type of Medicare coverage as each plan fits each patients’ needs. Medicare will cover some of the cost but will not cover the entire amount.
v There are special rules that will apply to you if you have employer group health insurance through your job or spouse’s job.
v The best way to be sure of what your Medicare plan covers call 1-800-MEDICARE or visit their website at www.my Medicare.gov.
If you have Medicaid:
v Typically, Medicaid recipients are not responsible for any portion of the hospital bill.
v To make sure you know what your Medicaid plan covers contact Alabama Medicaid 1 (334) 242-5000
The charge master should not be used for patients to estimate their actual cost. If you would like to request more specific pricing, please contact Rita Kelly. Phone number: (334) 636-2525 ext. 1104.
We provide this information to our patients, health insurers, and to the general public, pursuant to Section 3202 of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security in compliance with the Affordable Care Act [Section 2719€ of the Public Health Service Act].
